I’ve been talking to someone for 3 months, we message each other occasionally but they haven’t suggested meeting up. I’m expecting them to make a move, but nothing. What do you think I should do in this situation? Should I ask openly, or should I consider that this person might not be worth the wait?

5I think if you’ve waited this long, you should say something. Honestly, if there was someone who was serious about you, they would have at least suggested getting tea after 3 months. Saying ‘we’ll meet when the time is right’ sounds like total procrastination ![]()
I don’t think it’s something to worry about this much. Maybe you’re just shy or in an intense process. Why does it have to be the guy who makes the first move? Why not propose yourself? Weren’t we saying everyone is equal? ![]()
In social relationships, the continuity of mutual interest is important. If there hasn’t been a meeting in 3 months, the other person’s interest is either low or there are other things going on in their life. If this negatively affects you, I suggest that you talk directly but without judgment.
Let me add that I am actually shy too, which is why I always expected the first move from him. But now, it’s starting to bother me that the process continues like this.
Yeah, isn’t this excuse of being ‘shy’ a bit exaggerated? Can someone really be so shy that they can’t have tea in three months? There’s something odd about this; I’d suggest questioning something else.
