I’ve had a weird pain in my lower abdomen for about 3 weeks now, especially since I usually don’t experience things like this outside of my menstrual period. Sometimes it eases up, sometimes it intensifies, but I constantly feel pressure. To be honest, I’m a bit embarrassed to go to the doctor about it. Could this be something normal, or should I go without waiting if it gets worse? I would really appreciate it if anyone with experience could share.

7I experienced the same thing; I had an ovarian cyst as well. I always felt this slight pressure in my lower abdomen outside of my period, and sometimes it would intensify. I went straight to a gynecologist, and they did an ultrasound. It wasn’t something to be very scared about, but if I hadn’t gone, it could have grown.
This feeling is so frustrating, it feels like there’s always a weight beneath you and it ruins you. Especially when it eases up for a bit and then starts again, you can’t get your bearings. But there’s no need to be embarrassed, it’s health after all.
So, does the pain increase while walking or moving? Or is it constantly steady? I think this is important because if it’s movement-related, it could be something different.
Oh, my girl, why are you so ashamed of the doctor? Doctors are used to these things anyway. If you have a problem, you should get it checked out right away; otherwise, it will be more embarrassing when you grow up. Also, if something serious is going on, it would be a shame if you ignore it.
If you’ve been waiting for 3 weeks, I think you’re a bit late already. Everything that is abnormal gets worse as long as we don’t expect it. Also, being ashamed to go to the doctor is a bit childish, isn’t it?
If abdominal pain has become chronic and there is a pressure sensation outside of menstruation, the likelihood of a gynecological issue is high. It could be an ovarian cyst, fibroids, or similar issues. However, it could also be a disorder related to the intestines or urinary tract. I suggest seeing an internist to start the process, beginning with blood and urine tests.
Let me answer some questions now; I just realized I had written incomplete information. The pain doesn’t actually change much while moving, it feels pretty much the same all the time. It only eases a bit during my menstrual period, but after that, it lightens within a day or two. However, it doesn’t completely go away.
