My mom is trying to find a job with her connections

My mom keeps insisting that I go for job interviews, but I feel a sense of fullness and fear inside me. I worry that everything seems so simple in her eyes, or what will happen if I can't succeed. What should I do in this situation? Do you think I should wait a little longer?

I went through the same thing. My mom pressured me to look for a job for a month, and in the end, I went to an interview just to make the noise stop. But since I was reluctant, I didn't get the job either. I really wasted my time.

What is this fullness inside you? Is it fear of work, fear of failure, or something related to your mother's pressure?

@kahvebitmeden maybe a bit from my mom’s pressure. Because I feel like if I fail, I will disappoint her too.

Well, does it get better when your mom puts pressure on you like this? I think you can't be successful in something unless it comes from within you first. Be confident in yourself first.

In such situations, it's important to ask about the reason for the pressure. Perhaps your mother has her own concerns (financial, sociological, etc.). You might consider talking to a career counselor and making an independent plan, including your mother in the process.

You wrote 'with harmony' in the title, was that a mistake? Because the situation felt a bit 'uncle style' to me.

Could the mother's pressure be a bit due to the worry of "what will others think"? Because sometimes the perception of those around you can be more troubling than finding a job itself. What you truly want needs to become clear. It's okay if you fail; the world keeps turning.
