My mom found out that I used tampons!

Yesterday my mom came into my room, rummaged through my drawer, and saw my tampon packs. At the dinner table, she started yelling, 'Do you use tampons? That's outrageous! You're ruining your health!' I think she believes that using tampons when pads are available is 'shameful.' I've gotten used to it for a long time and I feel comfortable, but now she keeps making comments. What should I do, should I argue or just give up?
