I don't feel strange using a pad in my shoe

Should I wear a pad in my own shoes when going out? I’m anxious because of my period, but I’m under a lot of family pressure. Do others think this way too? Is wearing a pad mandatory, or should I relax a little about it?

It can’t be.

I had an issue with putting pads in my shoes for a period of time. But honestly, my anxiety was mostly about whether it would be noticeable from the outside. I felt pretty comfortable afterward.

What exactly does the phrase “protect your shoes” mean? Why is your family imposing this on you?

Using a pad is better from a hygiene perspective, yes, but I can’t say it’s a necessity. If you feel comfortable, go ahead and use it. If you’re experiencing issues like discharge, you might want to try these kinds of products as a precaution.

@soncaykaldi I think we’re exaggerating such things due to excessive hygiene and fear. We didn’t use this many products before, would there have been any harm?

@yazipsildim doesn’t fully explain the reason, but says things like “the teenage years are always tough.” So it seems like it’s more about the rules she has in her own head.

It is wrong to think that using old methods won’t lead to health problems. Products like pads or other hygiene items particularly reduce the risk of infections. Aside from family pressure, this needs to be considered from this perspective.
