When I had a headache, he insisted on his own remedy

I’ve had severe headaches for the last few days. My boyfriend offered to give me his painkillers. He said, “This medicine always helps me, it will help you too,” but for some reason, I felt a hesitation inside me. When I asked for the name of the medicine, I felt like he brushed it off a bit. Should I go directly to the doctor, in your opinion? Are these kinds of painkillers harmless?

I think you should go to the doctor first, no matter what. Everyone’s body is different after all. Just because it works for him doesn’t mean it will work for you.

Did they show you any pamphlet or something when they gave you the medicine? I would advise against using it without fully understanding it.

@soncaykaldi didn’t show anything already, that’s why it got stuck in my head. I think it was for migraine, but I’m not sure.

I don’t think there’s any point in making it this big. After all, he’s your boyfriend; he doesn’t want to hurt you.

the painkiller my boyfriend recommended had messed up my stomach too. That’s why I definitely say to get a doctor’s check-up.

Pain relievers do not affect everyone the same way. It can be risky, especially if there is a chronic condition or if you are taking other medications. I think it’s more sensible to go to the pharmacy to get information first, and then see the doctor.

@elmayikirkirkere not wanting to hurt is not important, is he a doctor? Should we just give medicine according to each of our heads then?
