There's a strange swelling on my abdomen, should I wait or go see a doctor?

I’ve been feeling a strange lump on the lower right side of my abdomen for a few days. There’s no pain, but it feels uncomfortable when I touch it. I haven’t been able to tell anyone out of embarrassment, and to be honest, I’m hesitant to go to the doctor. Do you think it could be something serious? Should I see a doctor if it continues? If anyone knows, please help.

I also had a swelling in the lower right side of my abdomen like that, and I didn’t have any pain. But mine had turned into appendicitis, it was progressing silently. I hadn’t waited too long, but there was a slight infection. I think you should see a doctor; it’s something that shouldn’t be neglected.

Make an appointment with a general surgeon because when it comes to swelling and abdominal issues, that’s their specialty. When you go, directly explain the swelling you’re waiting to address. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about; that’s what your doctor is there for.

If the swelling can be felt by hand, it may be a signal from your body. Usually, if touching it causes discomfort, it could be related to localized inflammation, a hernia, or a condition with the lymph nodes. However, a medical examination and ultrasound are necessary for diagnosis; it wouldn’t be right to postpone this.

You’ve been saying it for a few days, but why has it always been postponed? You’ve mentioned you’re hesitant to see a doctor, but these things don’t resolve themselves. I mean, wouldn’t it be better if you set aside the embarrassment and took this seriously?

I’m updating, today I pressed a little more on the swelling to fully understand that feeling. On my lower right side, it feels like it’s a bit round, like it’s moving, but there’s still no pain. Since there’s no one around me I can ask, I’m still uncertain.

So when did you first notice the swelling, was it after a specific movement or later on? For example, could it be that you lifted something heavy? If it’s something like a hernia, it can increase with movement.

I don’t think it will be as dramatic as you’re thinking. Most of the time, it’s just lymphedema or something simple. But honestly, nothing can be said for sure without an ultrasound. Get checked first, then you can relax

Avoiding it? I wouldn’t want you to feel such things when you should be thinking about your health. Since women are often burdened with such things, going to the doctor sometimes feels like a taboo. Don’t you think it’s wrong to hesitate to express yourself in front of a doctor?

I don’t know, but you said it feels like it’s moving, which is a bit intriguing. Could it be an internal cyst or a very mobile lymph node? Let’s hope it’s nothing else; don’t underestimate its seriousness.
