My ex-wife cut off alimony, I need to file a lawsuit, I'm left in a difficult situation

I'm struggling to make a living with my child, and serious alimony commitments were made during the divorce. For a while now, the payments have not been made properly, and he's even stopped them completely. On top of that, he’s sharing new vacation photos on social media. I want to file a lawsuit, but I'm afraid of how it will affect my child. If you were in my shoes, would you fight for your rights or remain silent?

I think you are right to consider filing a lawsuit because alimony payments are a legal obligation. If they are sharing vacation photos, it shows they have the financial means to make that payment. But to ensure the child isn't affected, you can handle the process through a lawyer and try to keep it from impacting them.

Look, your ex isn't trying to run away from here. Maybe she's facing another problem and is financially struggling. But of course, you can't just wait around either. Have you ever tried calling and having a clear conversation? 🫠

Now, to be honest, let me ask you this: why didn't you address the fact that you haven't been paying alimony properly for a while now? You said it's a new holiday, maybe if you stopped commenting on social media, this issue wouldn't have grown so large.

In case of alimony termination, you can talk to a lawyer and initiate enforcement proceedings. Whether it affects the child or not depends on the situation, but usually this process is handled between both parties. If you proceed with an expert, you might get results in a shorter time.

Thanks friends for the comments. I want to add this: He said that the amount he pays for my child would not decrease when we divorced, but now he's not paying anything. And yes, we actually have a written agreement 😐

I don't understand why you pretend to be thinking about the child's well-being while staying silent here. Child support is for the child to sustain their life. Don't you think the child already feels this burden as long as it remains on you?
