I've become ashamed to wear slacks; what should I do?

I’ve gained 10 kilos in the last 6 months, and I’m having a hard time finding size 42. I don’t want to wear regular pants because they feel tight. People around me keep saying it looks bad on me, so I’m trying out skirt-pants style things. Is it normal for this situation to become a habit? Is it more reasonable to go to a nutritionist or to solve it with exercise? I’m looking for a solution that won’t strain my budget too much.

I had also gained about 8 kilos for a while, wearing pants has really become torture. Boyfriend jeans had saved me too, but you have to watch out for that comfort you get used to. Once you get too carried away with it, it’s tough to get back on track.

I experienced the same thing. I couldn’t sign up for the gym, but I started following home workout videos on YouTube. I lost 3-4 kilos a month, it was economical and I could do it anytime I wanted :slightly_smiling_face:

Why are you ashamed of yourself just because they said you trip over your feet? Are you dressing for others? Whether you wear a skirt or pants, the decision about your weight and clothing choice is yours. It’s not shameful, don’t feel pressured.

Since the weight gain has reached 10 kilos in a short period of about 6 months, I think it’s necessary to do a blood test first. If there is an issue like thyroid problems or insulin resistance, see a doctor first, then decide on exercise/diet.

Let me update you, I thought about going to the dietitian but I’m really having budget issues. I’m looking for suggestions to solve it with things I can do at home. To be honest, I don’t have much time either since I’m working

I don’t understand, why do we put all the blame on ourselves in situations like this? Maybe the weight you’ve gained is due to metabolic issues, maybe stress. If you want to wear a skirt or pants, don’t let anyone’s comments bother you, you can find a solution afterwards.
