My partner is asking about my family; their intentions are serious

We've been talking for 3 months, and we understand each other quite well, but he still hasn't made a proposal to meet. Now he keeps talking about my family, asking things like, 'How is your mother? What does your father do?' It seems like he's serious about me, but why aren't we meeting face to face? I'm really confused. Do you think this is normal, or what is this guy trying to do?

I think he might be someone who takes things seriously because my ex used to ask my family similar questions. But we were meeting up. It's strange that he's not facing you directly. Does he have an excuse or something?

Just make a speech, I think. Ask, 'Why haven't we met yet?' Let the intention be clear from the beginning, and you won't waste your time either.

I'm sorry, but you say it's been 3 months, why aren't you making a move? Are you just waiting for the other person to act? I think you've been a bit hesitant too.

In this type of flirting, not meeting face-to-face for a long time can sometimes indicate a virtual escape or social anxiety. But for something certain, both open communication and consistency are important. Ask questions to the other person and make your boundaries clear to yourself.

Let me add that I actually suggested meeting. He said, 'I've been busy lately' and such. But he texts a lot, so he's not indifferent. It seems like he enjoys dealing with me.

So, does he tell you anything about his family? For example, does he share about his relationship with his parents? Maybe he's being distant because of his family.

There is a fine line between a man constantly interrogating you and distracting you. Put in the effort, but if you're not receiving anything in return, ask clearly. You have no obligation to justify yourself to anyone; it's your right to set your boundaries 🙄.

It's not exactly the same, but I've experienced a similar situation. Too much messaging, too little meeting. In the end, they said they just couldn't get ready, but I had already moved on in my mind. I guess they pretend it's not a waste of time.

As a man, I say this: sometimes this interest comes not from seriousness, but from an attempt to understand you. If they are asking about family, they probably want to place you in a certain context in their mind, but not meeting creates a contradiction.
