Pregnancy concerns! Home tests give accurate results

Girls, I'm in doubt about something, can you help me? I have about 4-5 days until my period, but I have a suspicion. Do home pregnancy tests give accurate results this early? Or am I just getting my hopes up for nothing, should I go see a doctor?

When you take a test 4-5 days early, it usually doesn't give accurate results. It might show negative because the hormone level is low, but there could actually be a pregnancy. I took a test that early too and ended up panicking for no reason. Waiting a week and then taking the test again is more sensible.

Home tests measure HCG levels, which increase during pregnancy. But as you said, with days left until your period, HCG would be very low. The result could be misleading. The most accurate result comes a few days after the missed period or through a blood test.

I was in exactly the same situation. I eagerly took a test early on, and it came back negative. But when my period was late, I went to the doctor, and it turned out I was pregnant. Home tests can be a bit unreliable in the early stages, and that's what happened to me at least.

Why are you testing right away when there hasn't been any sign yet? Stress sometimes brings these doubts. I think it's better to wait a bit and calm down; it's not right to get unnecessarily hopeful and then upset 🥲

Actually, I've stressed a bit, and I'm not sure if that's why I'm thinking like this. But I've started to doubt because I have a slight pain in my stomach and a feeling of fatigue in my lower back. It might also be an obsession, I just don't know.

My daughter, it's not right to mix those things up without waiting for your menstrual period. One disrupts their own routine, and then has to deal with even more stress. In such situations, instead of reasoning with home tests or similar things before going to the doctor, patience should be exercised.

PMS pain is really confusing. During the times I suspected it, I constantly felt pressure in my lower abdomen. I wasn't pregnant, but it was always on my mind. I know, waiting every minute is tough.

I think it might be something other than just pregnancy, like a hormonal change. For example, premenstrual syndrome may be different, or the ovulation date may have gotten mixed up. Maybe you think it's something normal, but there could be another issue.

If you don't want to wait a single day, I think you should get a blood test done directly; they even do it at health clinics. Moreover, it can detect even very low levels of HCG. Visiting a doctor is the sure solution.
