Everywhere smells like smoke now

Today, while waiting at the bus stop, the woman in front of me lit a cigarette, so I moved behind her and this time another person lit one. When I leave the café, the area in front of the door is filled with smoke, when I leave the market, someone blows smoke right in my face, and when I’m jogging, the person in front of me walks like a chimney. I’m not against smokers, but having to constantly inhale someone else’s smoke is starting to drive me crazy. It seems like the indoor smoking ban used to be taken more seriously; now it feels like everyone is smoking everywhere. Am I too sensitive, or has this really gotten out of control?

You’re not very sensitive. I also check where the wind is blowing as soon as I get to the bus stop now. It’s ridiculous to have to calculate the smoke because of someone else’s pleasure.

It went out of control.

I don’t think it’s right to mix so much in an open area. It’s fine in an enclosed space, but where should a person go on the street? We need to keep some distance and pass by.

It’s not about where a man goes on the street, the issue is not to smoke at the door and in the middle of the bus stop. Why should I have to plan a route to avoid his smoke?

Passive smoking is a serious issue, especially for children, pregnant women, those with asthma, and individuals at risk for cardiovascular diseases. Just because it is an open space doesn’t mean that smoke is completely harmless; exposure continues in crowded areas and places like doorways.

One of the things that annoys me the most is people smoking next to a baby stroller. Today I saw a guy smoking right next to a baby, and the mother couldn’t say anything. At that moment, if I had opened my mouth, there would have been a fight

As a former drinker, I can say that you don’t notice the smell and discomfort while drinking. After quitting, even the scent that lingers on clothing started to make me feel nauseous. A person who drinks should pay a bit more attention to their surroundings.

Some people smoke cigarettes like it’s a stage performance. You’re sitting in a café, with your hand in the air, dramatically exhaling the smoke. You’re not the star, man, you’re just stinking.

Those who say freedom are always thinking of their own freedom. What about my freedom to breathe clean air? If you are forcing me to inhale your smoke, it is no longer just your choice.

I’m now saying very clearly: ‘Could you please drink a little further ahead? I have asthma.’ I’m not really asthmatic, but otherwise, people don’t understand. This has become the most effective sentence to avoid a fight.

Doorsteps are a disaster.

I think everyone has returned to their old comfort because the supervision has relaxed. It doesn’t matter if it’s a closed balcony, terrace, bus stop, or in front of a hospital. A societal rule can only be forgotten this much.
