Does everyone go through this, or should I see a doctor?

Girls, I’m writing this with great embarrassment, but for the last 3 days, I’ve been feeling a constant urge to urinate and it feels like my bladder isn’t completely emptying. It’s becoming increasingly bothersome, and there’s a bit of a burning sensation as well. Could this be an infection? Or do you think I should wait a little longer to see if it passes? Should I go directly to a gynecologist, or should I see another department?

I went through the same thing too, especially there was that burning sensation. I had developed cystitis and immediately went to the gynecologist. I think you shouldn’t wait at all, because it can get worse if it progresses.

Honestly, I had something like that happen to me too at one point, but it went away after drinking plenty of water for a while. However, if there’s burning or anything, it might be an infection; you could ask a urologist directly instead of just going to gynecology.

So you girls keep saying gynecology, gynecology, but I think this issue is more related to urology. Do we really have to go to gynecology in such a situation? It’s always the same thing, right? :woman_shrugging:

The most common cause of such complaints is actually a urinary tract infection. However, a urological examination can be done for a clear diagnosis. I would suggest being prepared to provide a sample before fully urinating when you go to the doctor, as it is important for the results.

Thanks for the comments, girls. Let me give you a bit more detail. Today the burning sensation seems to have decreased, but that feeling of fullness hasn’t completely gone away. I’m making a hospital appointment; I think urology makes more sense?

I honestly felt relieved when I heard from you. Yes, urology makes sense, but if I were you, I would have also considered obstetrics and gynecology, because there’s a chance the issue might shift in that direction. At least it’s worth checking. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

I just don’t understand this; the complaints are quite clear, but we’re still discussing here. Why aren’t you going to see a doctor right away? It’s really troubling me that you’re just staying here with what you’ve written.
