Is my vaginal discharge normal, should I see a doctor?

Honestly, I’ve been a bit worried lately. I’ve noticed a change in the color and a slight odor in my discharge. I pay a lot of attention to my hygiene, but this situation has been bothering me. Do you think this could be normal, or should I see a doctor? I’m a bit hesitant about going to the gynecologist; what do you suggest?

I also noticed both a smell and a yellowish color during a period of discharge. I was very scared, but it turned out to be a fungal infection. I would say don’t hesitate to go to a gynecologist; it’s really not as scary or embarrassing as you think.

I think you should get an appointment with a gynecologist without any delay. If there’s an odor added to the vaginal discharge, it could be either an infection or bacterial vaginosis. The doctor may first request a culture or, without seeing the need for that, may recommend medication. You need to explain in detail.

Okay, you’ve said that you pay a lot of attention to your hygiene, but could it be that you’ve overdone it a bit and thrown things out of balance? For example, if you’re using soap or the wrong products, it could affect your discharge. I think you should check this first, then go see a doctor.

Actually, these are quite common occurrences, but the likelihood of bacteria or fungus increases as soon as a slight odor and color change begins. Even if there are no additional symptoms such as itching or burning, a culture test is necessary. If infections are left untreated, they can turn into more serious problems.

Thank you all, I think you’re right, I need to visit a doctor. I use soap as a hygiene product, maybe that could have affected it as well. I’ve also started to experience a slight itch, which honestly scares me a bit. I will make an appointment.
