I started a new job, and I knew they would ask for certain things for the health report. But this morning, they told me I need to undergo an additional blood test. When I asked for the reason, I didn’t get a clear answer; they just said it was part of the procedure. Has anyone experienced something like this before? I believe I have the right to confidentiality regarding my health information, but would it create a bad impression if I mentioned it from the beginning?

it’s actually quite common. It’s generally required for drug tests at workplaces, especially in the private sector.
Was such a thing written in the contract? If you signed it from the beginning, it’s hard to get out of it 
@uykuarasi no, it wasn’t written in the contract. Only the standard medical report was mentioned.
@kahvebitmeden they will directly tell you for a drug test, they don’t make it mysterious like that. I don’t think it has anything to do with it.
Risk analysis is mandatory for some sectors in terms of occupational safety. But you have the right to know which tests are conducted. Go and ask directly.
I heard somewhere that they learn your blood type and do something else. They said if you quit the job, they would file a counter lawsuit.
@soncaykaldi that urban legend is false. no one can sue based on blood type; such a system doesn’t even exist.
