I lost weight but I still don't like myself

I lost 15 kilos in the last 6 months, everyone notices the change and congratulates me, but when I look in the mirror, I still see the 'old me.' When do you think this lack of confidence will go away? Or is the problem all in my head?

It's not just a matter of self-confidence for me. It's a bit odd that even after losing 15 kilos and people congratulating you, you're still not satisfied. Maybe it's a situation stemming from the past or some other standard you've set for yourself. I suggest you think about that.

In such situations, mental and emotional acceptance is more important than physical change. A body image disorder should be considered. Seeking psychological support or exploring this feeling with a therapist will clarify things for you. The issue of the 'old you' in the mirror is a very familiar situation.

So let me be clear, we men usually look at external change, not the details. But your inability to capture that inner peace seems a bit like an issue you've blown out of proportion in your head. Maybe that old chubby version of yourself affected you in a different way, I'm saying.

I experienced the same thing. I had lost 10 kilos and everyone was saying, 'How did you do it?' but I didn't like what I saw in the mirror. I went to a psychologist and learned that I had issues with body perception. Now I don’t stop either my workouts or my therapy.

Just do this: go for a professional photoshoot for visual motivation, you'll see the change more clearly. Then, have an analysis with a dietitian to see if you might have reached the weight you were thinking of. Maybe your actual goal is something different.
