The hairdresser cut my hair too short, I need to fix it... What do you think?

The other day I went to the hairdresser, I just wanted to trim the ends, but they literally turned it into a short style. I couldn't even recognize myself when I looked in the mirror, I'm so down. Should I try a new style or just wait for it to grow out? Has anyone else experienced this, what should I do?

'I think you’re getting used to it, but you don’t realize it' my cousin said; I had experienced a similar situation last year. But you don’t really get used to it, each time I looked in the mirror, I flinched. I think for now, it's best to try to cover it up with a bandana or some accessories.

It's really getting annoying. You wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and suddenly see a face you don't recognize. When I meet up with friends and hear comments from everyone, it doesn't help me relax at all. I used to always wear a hat when going out; it kind of distracted me a bit 🫢

But there's something like this: a lot of people regret cutting their hair. Look at it from the perspective of the hairdressers; maybe your hair looked damaged and bad, and that's why they did it? It might have even looked good, you know, maybe you can show it to someone around you to get their opinion.

Psychological effects after a haircut are indeed common. Especially, a sudden change in a person’s body image requires an adaptation process. It’s a good idea to think step by step: short-term solutions (accessories, styling) and long-term goals (waiting for it to grow) can be planned. Consulting a professional hairstylist can be very beneficial during this period.

Today, a friend told me they loved my style, and I was really surprised. But I still can't recognize myself. I think I've become a bit eye-catching, and that's bothering me right now. I still don't know how to find a solution.

My grandmother used to say, "hair grows faster when it's cut," but maybe you don't notice it for a while. It seems to grow easily when you cut and style it frequently; I usually do it that way. But are you an expert? Am I understanding this correctly?
