My cousin showed my fiancé's story to my aunt

My fiancée posted a coffee photo in her story last week while she was out with her friends. It was just a normal share, but my cousin took that photo and showed it to my aunt. My aunt then implied to my mom that my fiancée seems like a very "modern" person, suggesting that she shouldn't put our family in such situations. I'm angry at both my cousin and my aunt; how should I draw a boundary with them? I'm afraid that if my fiancée hears this, she might get really hurt.

If the girl is going to get hung up on things like this, we need to be clear from the start. I don’t think anyone can blame anyone else because of a social media post. I share things like that with my friends too, it’s just a coffee story after all 🫣

Has your cousin done this kind of thing before? Is this the first time they're butting in like this, or is it a habit? Because if it's continuous, it seems like your fiancé has a right to know about it 🥲

@camkenari has always dragged out these little things before, but they haven't made such a serious intervention. I didn't tell my fiancée so that the situation wouldn't escalate 😂

@ogreniyoruziste let's be clear from the start, I think you're underestimating family pressure. Modern posts don't always resonate with everyone; that's not the case in every family.

it's important that your fiancée is affected by the situation. Generally, it's recommended to discuss family-related issues directly to avoid communication breakdown between the parties. Instead of telling your aunt, you can openly evaluate the situation with your fiancée.

this headline really expands a lot here, the situation keeps going around in circles. everyone stumbles over the word 'modern.'
