I don't want to go to the hospital due to costs

I’ve had a slight fever of around 37.8 since yesterday and I’m feeling weak. I don’t think it’s anything serious, but I’m still a bit worried. I’m not sure if I should take my medicine and wait a few days, or go to the doctor right away. Honestly, I’m hesitant to go to the hospital because of the expenses. What do you recommend?

When you have a fever, take a cold shower and it will go away. Whenever I have a fever or something, a freezing shower helps a lot, and there’s no need to go to the hospital. Try it if you want.

@mahrem_saf you’re mistaken; taking a cold shower won’t reduce a fever, it actually makes people feel worse. When suggesting something to someone, it’s best to be a bit serious.

You say it’s a hospital expense, but if you work unhealthily, it’s even worse. At least I’d suggest asking a pharmacy.

@mesafe_emekci I actually thought about going to the pharmacy too, but I was hesitant because I thought they couldn’t make a proper diagnosis there either.

Just a quick question, is there any other symptom like side pain or shortness of breath? Because right now, many people at school are experiencing the onset of something like the flu.

I think there’s more going on here than just the expense? If you don’t want to go, you might have had a bad experience before or something else :woman_facepalming:

If your fever goes above 38, you definitely should see a doctor. At the level you’re currently talking about, paracetamol group antipyretics may be sufficient, but if you have a chronic condition, the situation can change. Even if you go to a health center, you can get a report.
