I’ve been through something similar. When I asked for time off during my engagement, my boss completely freaked out. I eventually got it, but I really wore myself out. I think you should push for it, but be careful not to lose your job! 
How long have you been working? Also, how far in advance did you mention the wedding date?

You say it’s nonsense before the coffee is ready, but that’s the rule. If it’s like this according to where you work, there’s nothing to be done. There’s no special thing like wedding leave in labor law 
There is no requirement for a justified absence leave in the private sector in terms of labor law. In this case, you would either have to use your annual leave or request an unpaid leave. If possible, try to talk to HR again.

It’s nonsense to postpone the wedding just because the boss said so, but it’s important to calculate the situation well. Since they mentioned a busy period, do they have a backup plan for that time? Or is it just a way to pressure you completely? Sometimes, these “busy period” statements are made up, so probe a little.
If they’re saying it’s a busy period, sure, you have to carry the load, but isn’t this a two-way street? If your boss can’t come up with a solution for your special situation, I’d say don’t take his “busy period” too seriously at other times either. Speak up and clarify how serious this busyness is; that’s the key.
