They said 'there wasn't enough fabric' for the veil, and I'm questioning my engagement

I'm on my period and using pads; I don't prefer tampons because they aren't comfortable. But when my fiancé saw the pads, he jokingly said, "Looks like there wasn't enough fabric." He was supposedly joking, but I felt so bad... It constantly bothers me whether he's going to fuss over little things like this. Now I'm also wondering if I'm overreacting. Why does a person make unnecessary comments like this?

I think you're overreacting. The guy might have thought we were being funny; you shouldn't take everything so seriously 🙄

@kahvebitmeden actually does it from time to time, but it had never bothered me this much; it has this constant tendency to make snide remarks.
