My girlfriend doesn't care about her irregular periods

My period has been irregular for the last three months, the days keep shifting and it's less than usual. When I explained the situation to my boyfriend, he said, 'It says on the internet it's stress or something, don't go to the doctor right away.' But I think it could be something important. Should I go to the doctor or wait a bit more and observe as my boyfriend suggested?

If you have irregular periods, you need to see a doctor. If your partner brushes it off saying it's just stress, don't waste your time listening to that. This is no joke.

@uykuarasi but do you really go to the doctor in a panic just because you're three months late? She herself said she was stressed out anyway.

I told @soncaykaldi that I'm stressed, but my menstrual flow has decreased; I'm not sure if this is normal.

Stress does affect, but a decrease in menstrual flow could be a different issue. The doctor may request hormone tests, so I recommend not to delay.

@kahvesogumus they don't want to do hormonal tests for every irregularity, I think it's a bit exaggerated. You could try a regulator or a nutritional supplement first.

@bugun_degil should they be trying medication regulators however they please? Are you writing these things so they listen to their boyfriend/girlfriend instead of their doctor?

Your partner may have been trying to normalize it, but I don't think it's nice to be so dismissive about someone's health. People used to be more sensitive about things like that.

Either go see a doctor, seriously. Is your boyfriend a doctor or something, that you trust him?

How old are you? This level of disorder seems strange to me at such an early hour.

If a decrease in menstrual flow is observed at an early age, thyroid problems are also a possibility. Have you ever gotten it checked? Besides stress, such systemic issues can also have an effect.

I have another question. Have you noticed any other changes besides your menstrual regularity and amount? For example, weight, hair loss, skin dryness, etc. If there is an issue with the thyroid or any other hormonal factor, these could also be signals.
