My girlfriend doesn't want to pay with her card anymore

My girlfriend had been paying for things like groceries and coffee with her credit card for a long time, and I didn't worry about it thinking that I would pay if needed. But yesterday she sweetly said that we shouldn't spend this much anymore. In the beginning, she wouldn't say a word, so why is she suddenly bothered? Is there an issue with our spending or is she viewing our closeness differently now?

Looking at the story, there's quite a logic problem. You used to pay, now you're saying let's not spend, but haven't you sat down to calculate all of this? In a relationship, it's not all about romance; a bit of math is needed too. How many months have you been living together? Are the expenses shared?

Look, I think this "let's be careful with expenses together" issue is definitely not something to be ignored. I had a similar experience; my partner and I were constantly eating out for breakfast, and then I realized that he was actually overwhelmed by it. When we sat down together and talked about "what's necessary, what's unnecessary," things got better between us. Just have a conversation; sometimes specific topics can be very meaningful.
