I reacted to those who insulted me on the road, and everyone blamed me.

One evening, on my way home from work, two guys were saying weird things on the street, and I couldn’t help but say something. They totally called me out for it, and then people around me said, 'Why are you talking? Just let it go.' So, do we have to stay silent? Is it right to react and get myself into trouble, or is it better to just stay quiet and forget about it?

Were there other women in the environment? I mean, how did they behave when you reacted? Did everyone just expect you to stay silent, or was there someone who supported you?

After work in the evening, people are already tired, and then there are those kinds of remarks... It's just unbearable. Especially when you're expecting support from those around you and get snapped at... It's truly frustrating.

Guys like that usually get even more excited when they get a response. So, they do it to feel powerful. The worst part is, if you stay quiet, they'll bother you in another way, and if you speak up, they'll bother you differently 🫢

The problem is not your reaction, but rather that they see this right in themselves. The behavior of those who throw insults is the real issue. Women are always expected to stay silent. Making your stance clear is your most natural right.

Actually, there are a lot of people experiencing this. When those around you say "never mind," it often has a "stay out of our business" vibe. Their passivity might make you feel uneasy as well. Ultimately, there's a fear of being left alone when you react 😅

But let me ask you something, could those people around you recognize you? Or did they target you in such a strange way? I found the reaction of those people a bit odd 😬

But, one shouldn't get into arguments everywhere. Especially at night and with two men. In our society, sometimes it’s better for women to stay silent to prevent things from escalating. Justice will find its place, but don’t put yourself at risk 🥲
