Still no meeting after 3 months, patience or pride?

I've been talking to a kid for 3 months, and we get along quite well. But so far, they haven't mentioned meeting up even once. I've seriously gotten tired of waiting, but I'm unsure whether I should take the first step. If you were in my place, would you cut off the conversation or would you be a bit patient and wait?

I've experienced the same thing. I was chatting with a guy for 2.5 months, and he never asked about meeting up. The last thing I asked was, 'Are you thinking of going out?' and he said, 'Not really.' Turns out he was just looking for a casual chat. I wouldn't waste too much time, just check in and see what he really wants.

Three months is actually a critical period in relationships. A person either develops habits or becomes attached during this time. If there are no meetings or face-to-face introductions, it means one person is not ready for something. I suggest being more straightforward because it seems like a relationship that is fading into the background.

But have you ever asked to meet? I mean, the kid might think you're distant. If you're always waiting for them, it can be a bit one-sided. They might be feeling insecure, too. These things work both ways, so you should be a bit more open.

Let me update you, actually I didn't mention it at first because I was a bit hesitant. But in recent weeks, I've been trying to indirectly ask things like 'what are you doing during the holidays', but he always brushed it off. I'm wondering now if he doesn't find me sincere.

I think there must be another reason. It could be a girlfriend, living out of town, or some other obstacle. Someone who has been serious for this long would definitely take a concrete step. The only thing that bothers me is your one-sided effort. If it's not going to move forward, why are you even writing? 😳
