I went through a similar situation. My family wanted me to return to our hometown, but I didn't leave the city where I found a job. At first, they had a hard time with it, but eventually, they had to accept it. If you say "okay" for them, the issue is resolved.

I don't know how strong your family ties are, but you need to speak clearly about this: how much space will they occupy in your life right now? If they are offering support, is it presented as a conditional dependency, or do they genuinely care about you? This distinction is important.
