My family wants me to terminate my pregnancy, but I have a different opinion!

I'm experiencing an unwanted pregnancy and honestly I feel really bad. My family definitely doesn't want this baby, saying "Don't ruin your life," but I'm considering somehow going through with it. Would it be selfish to say no? What would you do in such a situation?

What kind of logic is this? What does it mean to ruin your life! Is there a rule that says everyone will be unhappy until the end of time the moment that baby is born? What are people coping with, can't they handle a child? Tell your mom, she doesn't know what can or cannot ruin your life.

A friend of mine had the same thing happen; her husband said, 'If you don't take care of it, I'm leaving.' The girl was indecisive until the last moment, but she gave birth, and then the guy lowered the sails. Sometimes that final decision moment changes everything, and I feel that way too.

I'm sorry, but if you're going to do something like this, you need to think it through. If you're going to be a burden to your family, then you have to accept their reactions. You always say 'I want this,' but if the child also affects their lives, don't they have a say in it?

Look, this situation is more common than it seems. Families usually say this because they fear the economic or social burden, and the emotional side comes second. I think you should sit down and talk openly; maybe their main concern is something else. But if you decide to give birth, you may need to seek professional support; this process is not easy.

Let me add this: My dad agrees with my mom, but he speaks more softly. He says things like 'think ahead', but I'm still undecided. I can't expect any support from the baby's father, and that's another fear of mine.

Ah, here it is, just the detail I was expecting. Where is the baby daddy? Doesn't he have any responsibility? Why does the girl's side always bear the brunt of the consequences like heroes? Frankly, I think the issue is that your family is more scared because this guy is absent. Otherwise, who wouldn't want a grandchild? You need to find a common solution.
