My family thinks this will cause problems instead of celebrating my pregnancy

It has been 13 weeks since I found out I was pregnant. I was very happy, but my family does not support this situation. They are worried about the future of the baby and think that I am not married yet. What should I do in this situation?

I was in the same situation. When I got pregnant with my first child, my family kept insisting that "it can't be done without a wedding." Eventually, one day we sat down and discussed it, speeding up the wedding arrangement to ease their worries a bit. Maybe you should have a meeting.

@soncaykaldi are you serious? Everyone should live their own life. Is it still a thing to ask the family in this day and age? What would have happened if you hadn't asked for the wedding?

You said you don’t support it. But does your partner agree with you on this? I mean, what’s the situation on that side? Are you living in the same house? 🙄

@camkenari we are engaged but we don't live in the same house. His family is also waiting for the wedding, I think we might be a bit hasty, but we love each other.

Since you said it's been 13 weeks, you need to be under regular medical supervision now. Healthy eating and stress management are also important during this process for your baby's development. Even if you can't agree with your family, it's essential to support each other.

I don’t understand how you’re growing this so much with family; we’re in 2023, for goodness' sake. But of course, everyone’s environment is different.
