I have abdominal pain and can't go to the doctor because of my embarrassment

I've been having pain in my lower abdomen for 3 days now, but honestly, I feel embarrassed thinking about the reason. I'm not menstruating, and I don't feel anything related to my urine, but there's this kind of pressure sensation. Since it's a private area, I'm hesitant to go to the doctor. Do you think I should wait and see if it goes away, or should I go? Has anyone experienced something like this before?

I once felt pressure in my lower abdomen too, and it turned out I was in my ovulation period. But it didn't last for three days; if it's a bit painful, I would suggest seeing a doctor.

In such cases, instead of feeling ashamed, focus on this: Pain or pressure in this area can stem from many things, ranging from infections to ovulation, or bowel obstruction. The best course of action would be to consult a gynecologist or a general surgeon for an explanation.

Actually, I was surprised because this is a very common situation. Gynecology clinics see such things every day. They also pay attention to privacy, so there’s no situation where one would be embarrassed.

Girls, let me update you. It seems to have intensified a bit this morning, but it feels like it's shifted. Now there's more pain on my right side than in my lower abdomen. Thank you all for the suggestions, but I still haven't made a final decision.

I think you should go to the obstetrics department directly. If she has started hitting to the right side, there might even be a possibility of appendicitis. Make an appointment right away, there's no need for emergency care for now, but don't delay.

Waking up this morning with pain spreading to the right side can really ruin the day from the start... I had a pain that started in the lower right, and it turned out to be a urinary tract infection. Yours might be different, of course, but I think you shouldn't hesitate to see a doctor.

I read somewhere that pain on the right side can be due to some women experiencing intestinal pressure before their period. It can create pressure for a few days. Maybe it will pass if you wait.

I know you're going to be mad when I say this, but I think you're being too uptight. It's health after all; there's no need to feel embarrassed. It's already been three days. If someone is too grown up to go to the doctor because they're embarrassed, what will they do if something serious comes up?

I just don't understand how there are still people saying 'just wait, it'll pass'? The pain on the right side could be screaming appendicitis, and if something happens, will you feel guilty?
