I have a strange pain in my lower abdomen, I feel embarrassed to see a doctor.

I've been feeling a slight pain in my lower abdomen for the past few days, sometimes it feels sharp. It's especially odd since I'm not on my period. To be honest, I feel a bit shy about seeing a doctor regarding these issues. Should I wait and see if it goes away, or take it seriously and visit a specialist? I'm anxious about going to a gynecologist, but maybe another branch would address this. What should I do?

I had this happen to me too, I had pains in my lower abdomen outside of my menstrual period. I waited for it to go away, and it turned out to be a urinary tract infection. So, it might not be necessary to go straight to the gynecologist; maybe start with an internal medicine doctor, and you might feel less anxious.

I don't think you need to feel ashamed at all; I have acquaintances around me who didn't go to the doctor and later regretted it. You mentioned your lower abdomen; sometimes there can be an ovarian cyst or something, so it's worth getting it checked. You say it's a private matter, but that's what their job is anyway.

Now everyone is saying 'go to the doctor right away,' but nobody is saying what might have caused this pain. Maybe you lifted something heavy or it’s related to your diet. They keep throwing the topic to the doctor; I think you should listen to yourself first.

Abdominal pains can have many causes. Urinary tract infections, ovarian cysts, or bowel problems are some of these. First, you can visit a general practitioner, and if necessary, you may be referred to gynecology. It’s not right to say anything definitive from here, of course.

Thank you all, I feel a bit relieved with your comments. I should also add that a few days ago, I carried a pretty heavy bag, and I thought that might be why. Since I've never experienced something like this outside of my period, it just got blown out of proportion in my head.

Why was this heavy transport incident not mentioned at first, for example? The issue could have been addressed directly based on this. Friends immediately jumped into illness scenarios, you guys are really funny. Sometimes, I say, people need to look at simple things; there's no need to always call in experts.
