Is my dad still not letting me go out in the evening a joke?

I'm twenty-five now, but my dad still complains about me being out after eight in the evening. I can't even go out for a coffee with my friends without my phone ringing. Honestly, it's exhausting that they still think like this in this day and age. I'm earning my own money and I have my own responsibilities, but because of these strict rules at home, I feel like a middle school kid. I really don't know how to talk to them about this.
