Are trendy wide-leg pants suitable for short people?

Everyone is really into those wide-leg pants, every person I see has them! But I'm 1.58m tall and it feels like I'm sweeping the floor when I wear them... I wonder if wearing heels would help, or should I just steer clear of them entirely? Is this trend more suited for taller and slimmer girls?

I have the same situation, my height is 1.56. I really love wide-leg pants, but it seems like every time I end up at the tailor. I've tried wearing heels; they help a bit, but they require a lot of effort. I guess the only solution is to find short-leg styles.

My height is 1.60 as well, if you want to wear it, you definitely need to wear heels. But if you're not used to heels, you won't be comfortable all day, so think carefully about that part. Also, fabrics with linings look neater, keep that in mind.

I just don't understand this: if someone is short, will baggy pants always look bad on them? Are short people going to be left out of every trend? You can look great if you find the right style!

Actually, wide-leg trousers can make you look shorter due to their length. It looks nice when the trouser leg slightly covers the shoe, but when it sweeps the ground, the appearance is disrupted. Asking a tailor for a suitable shortening and balancing it with heels is a sensible solution.

Let me update you: I tried a pair at a store today! I thought the heels would help a bit, but it still feels like I'm struggling while walking. I wonder if I should look for a slightly more straight-cut model. By the way, those with thinner fabric look even worse, that's for sure 🙄

It can't be like this, I mean is everyone really going to be a victim of fashion? You say you're short, so why are you still forcing yourself to wear it? Why are you trying to make something that's not there? 🙂

I think I understand you really well. When something becomes fashionable, everyone buys and wears it, but we wonder if certain pieces really suit us. As someone who is shorter, I thought I could easily adjust, but finding the right balance can be difficult.

When looking from Zeynep's perspective, the detail that appears small here is actually at the center of the issue. If I were in her place, I wouldn't make a definitive decision without asking about that detail.
