Should I share my skincare routine, or do you consider it too personal?

I get a lot of questions about my skin, especially when I use serum or masks. I want to share it on Instagram, but some of my friends say, ‘it’s very personal, keep it private.’ Do you think it’s normal to share it? Or is it weird to show something so personal?

I also get a lot of questions about my skincare. Serums especially attract a lot of attention, really. But I’m sharing, I’ve lost nothing. There are so many people who want to know, to be honest, I’m writing for them

You say it’s your private life, but then you ask if you should share it on Instagram. Isn’t that a bit contradictory? If it’s private, why are you thinking about sharing it with everyone?

I think sharing is completely normal. But if you have friends who might feel uncomfortable, show it only to a specific group in your story. There’s that ‘Close Friends’ feature, you can use that :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s important to realize that the personal details you share on social media are not really that ‘private.’ Information like skincare is generally harmless. Still, it’s crucial to pay attention to who can see it.

A friend mentioned they’ve read it too and said, “just share it with your close circle.” To be honest, I haven’t used the story settings in such detail, so I’ll need to fiddle around with it a bit.

You want to share, but why do you think of it as ‘very special’ first? Which products are you using or is your ritual very striking?

I think this is pretty common. Everyone is sharing their skincare routines on TikTok and such. I don’t think you need to feel sad while sharing. It feels normal to me.

My friends also said it’s “too showy” at one point. But then they started to show their own routines too. People usually say that initially, but then it normalizes. Don’t worry about it, I think.
