My cousin is really into natural masks. The other day, she told me, ‘You have to try this, it’s 100% natural,’ and gave me a recipe. It had honey, lemon, and cinnamon in it. She said, ‘It will get rid of your acne,’ but after I tried it, I experienced burning, redness, and even more pimples on my face. Now my face looks like a map. I feel really bad. How sensible do you think it is to trust natural things? I’m thinking of not listening to such advice again, but what do you think?

8I had tried this mask myself back in the day, and the cinnamon burned my face like crazy. There’s no guarantee that it’s natural. If your skin is sensitive, stay away from these kinds of things.
When you applied lemon, did you go out into the sun directly or did you do it at night? Lemon can burn the skin in the sunlight, maybe that’s why.
I was on for an hour at night, it was on my face until morning. It had already started at the moment of burning.
Come on, if you leave it on your face all night, of course it will ruin your skin. It’s wrong to apply everything as a “natural mask” and keep it on for hours. ![]()
grapefruit and lemon can cause irritation on sensitive skin, especially acidic structures. cinnamon can also be an allergen. if you have such issues, it’s beneficial to see a dermatologist.
Everyone’s skin is different, so we can’t just slather any mask on our faces because it’s natural. I think that was a bad idea from the start ![]()
I would never try those things. I would go directly to the doctor.
Cinnamon is a very aggressive material; most people have allergic reactions to it. If your skin is that sensitive, you need to try it on the inner side of your arm first. Also, it’s natural, yes, but the dosage and duration are very important. Leaving it on until morning is quite risky.
