My partner gets locked on their phone when they come home from work; are we drifting apart?

Recently, my spouse comes home from work and even while eating, they are on the phone. It's the same when watching a series; I try to talk to them, and they say, "I'm looking at something work-related," but can it really be that busy? They used to spend more time with me. Am I being too needy, or should I do something to save our relationship?

'I'm looking at something related to work.' Honestly, my spouse was saying the same thing, turns out they were playing PUBG in the background. Before getting too pushy, maybe take a look and see if it's really work. But if the phone doesn’t leave their hand, I think that's a sign.

If I were you, I would ban phones at the dinner table. That’s the place to spend time with family. If she were my daughter, I would just say, 'come on, put down the phone' directly. I think you should set a boundary from the start, just try it out 😳

But are you sure it's not because you're not pushing too hard? How long has it been like this? Maybe he's just relieving stress or he really has a heavy workload. Perhaps you're noticing it more because you're stressed yourself.

What we call phone addiction is actually not a problem independent of technology. The brain is constantly seeking rewards. While working, these 'glances' can shift to rewards from social media or games. I think talking to a therapist would be beneficial.

Let me update you: Friends, I noticed yesterday that the WhatsApp group at work is really active. But I still don't understand why they don't chat with me like they used to. Do you think I should just talk to them directly? 😳

But make sure of this: some men really can't switch gears when they get home, their minds are still at work. But in this case, try creating a 'ritual' with your spouse. For example, a 30-minute phone-free conversation hour. It sounds reasonable to them too, so it won't feel forced.
