My spouse stopped sharing me on social media!

In the early days of our marriage, he used to share our photos often, but for the last 6 months, he hasn't included me in any of his posts. I haven't said anything, but it makes me feel strange. While his friends constantly share their wives, he never shows me. Do you think this is normal, or is it an important signal? Should I talk to him about it?

You mentioned she was sharing at first, so did you ask her to post a photo with you during that time? Or how were the reactions to those early posts? I’m curious about this part because sometimes people pull back when they receive too much reaction. 😬

It's really very difficult, isn't it? When everyone is sharing their partner, and yours isn't, one inevitably starts to compare. It feels almost like you're hiding something. I think it's worth sitting down and talking directly about "why aren't you sharing anymore?"

I don't think it's something that should be blown out of proportion like this. After all, will it really be evident whether someone loves you or not just by their social media posts? Isn't the real issue the relationship in your private life? Comparing yourself to your friends' spouses might make you feel worse.

People's use of social media can change over time. It's common to see those who were initially eager to share eventually focusing more on their private lives. But if it causes you anxiety, it's important to talk about it openly. Otherwise, this question will always linger in your mind.

I forgot to mention this; his family was also commenting a lot on my posts. They had said things like, 'Why do you keep posting about your wife?' maybe that's why he reduced it, but he didn't explain anything to me.

You're talking about the family's reaction and all, but doesn't it seem a bit strange to you? I mean, they used to share so openly, and now all of a sudden, it's completely cut off... I think either there’s some pressure going on or there are other things happening. I can't say for sure, of course, but it makes you wonder.

It's best to be direct. Just ask, 'Why don’t you share anything anymore?' plainly. It will wear you out more to create scenarios in your head without knowing what they're thinking. Maybe there's a really simple reason 🫣
