My spouse turned their phone upside down, should I be suspicious?

We were going to the cinema today, my wife was holding her phone in the car and suddenly flipped it over. I noticed she checked it secretly a few times during the movie, because the light was hitting her face. On the way home, she continued texting but didn't explain anything to me. To be honest, it's eating me up inside. If I were to ask, I feel like she would say 'you're being paranoid.' Did I become suspicious over something silly, or am I justified?

my ex-fiancé did the same, at first I didn’t press too much but I noticed his behavior was changing increasingly. eventually, it came out that he was messaging another woman. I don’t want to generalize too much, but sometimes your instincts point to the right thing. I think you should try having a conversation.

So, has there been a situation like this before? For example, does the phone usually stay out in the open at home? Do they have habits like hiding passwords and stuff? Maybe it's not wise to make a judgment based on first impressions.

@sorgupesinde this isn't the first time actually, they've acted like they were hiding their messages a few times before. I hesitated to ask, but they always just brushed it off with 'just my private matters.'

@yuzuktenonce yours is outright cheating, okay, but not everyone should be put in the same category. What if it's work-related or they’re messaging about something else you don’t know? Let's not jump to the worst conclusion right away.

It's important to speak directly with your spouse, even if it's about something innocent, as such situations can grow doubts over time. However, instead of a flat accusation, a healthier approach would be to say, 'There’s something that’s been bothering me; can we clarify it?' Additionally, if there is a pattern, you may need to discuss the issue of trust together.

I don't understand these kinds of posts. I mean, if you suspect your partner, why are you asking for advice here? Just ask directly or resolve it somewhere else; how much can we speculate here?

I think it's ridiculous, a bit too paranoid.
