The ex-boyfriend was the first to check out our engagement story

We got engaged and I shared a few photos in my story. I noticed that my fiancée's ex-girlfriend is always the first person to view every story, within a minute or so. Also, it seems she's constantly keeping tabs by using a mutual friend. Honestly, I told my fiancée about it, but she said, 'what can she do, it's just a story, anyone can see it.' I don't know, I still feel uneasy. Do you think this is normal?

It's not as obsessive as my ex's, but I've experienced something similar. I noticed notifications coming to my phone every 3-5 minutes. I said he can check if he wants, but I think it's better not to attract attention by saying I'm uncomfortable.

How long has he/she been looking this way? Was it before the engagement as well?

@bugun_degil I've actually noticed it since the engagement, I hadn't really observed it before. But constantly, it's always him who looks first.

@kirmizikazak you say not to draw attention by saying you're uncomfortable, but these people are going to get married in the end? The fiancé should completely show that he's detached from his ex; otherwise, the problem will get worse.

Technically, the story is open to everyone, and anyone can look at it as they wish. However, if there is regular and instant monitoring, this has already become a habit. It is beneficial to discuss clear boundaries with your fiancé, as such things usually continue. Social media obsession is a psycho-socially influential situation.
