I got tense when I saw he liked a photo of his ex

I’ve been with my boyfriend for about a year, and there wasn’t actually any problem in our relationship. But today, I saw that he liked a place on Instagram that his ex-girlfriend posted in 2019. So even if the date is old, I wonder if he’s really disconnected from his past. I haven’t mentioned it to him because I might come off as unnecessarily jealous, but I feel like something inside me has broken. What should I do? Would it be wrong to talk about this situation, or should I just let it go?

I’m not sure if liking a photo can hold that much meaning. Getting hung up on something posted in 2019 seems a bit much, right? It would be better to just ask openly :grimacing:

How did you notice such an old post? Did you stalk me? Or did something give you a hint?

Actually, I didn’t stalk myself @kahvebitmeden; it just showed up in explore, but this isn’t the first time, they had watched their story before.

@aklimkaldi watching stories is a hassle. Once a person does it, they’ll do it again. My ex had the same issue, and every time it happened, she’d say ‘it was a mistake.’ Over time, it started to get to me.

@yazipsildim this accidental viewing thing is totally made up anyway. The story doesn’t just fall in front of you without opening it. It seems like my friend hasn’t completely let go of the past, but we have to speak clearly, you know :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

I think there might be something going on here with old love, but you seem uncertain. It often happens with those who have been in a long relationship and suddenly break up. It seems like you’re curious about what exactly they feel.

There are way too many topics like ‘I stalked but got stuck, what should I do now?’ Please sit down and talk to those people, for goodness’ sake. You can’t end a relationship just because you saw four likes.

Liking old posts can be confusing; the intention matters. If it happens again, it becomes a trust issue.

I think the key point is showing up in Explore. If you see your ex in Explore, the algorithm has already made some kind of connection. I’m currently more focused on who follows whom and who is stalking whom.
