They're pressuring me to leave the house; what's my legal right?

I have a lease, but my landlord keeps saying things like "it would be better for you to live with your family." He finds excuses every time, saying the rent is delayed, or that I have guests, or that the neighbors have complained. Is this level of interference legal? To be honest, I’m not thinking about moving out, but it’s driving me crazy. What should I do?

Well, my old landlord was like that too. He was always causing problems for no reason. The last time I complained via e-government, he got a little smarter. If you have a lease agreement, he can't legally evict you, but he can still make your life difficult.

I think this person either wants to kick you out and rent to someone else or is going to place their family there or something. Unfortunately, sometimes landlords do these kinds of things. The fees seem like an excuse. I would suggest trying mediation before resorting to legal action.

But if it was a guest and it was about the dues, maybe you should also look at your own attitude a bit. After all, if the neighbors are complaining, something might be going wrong. Have you ever tried talking to the neighbors instead of directly blaming the landlord?

If there is a rental agreement, they can't easily evict you. However, if they begin to pressure you in a disturbing way, you have the right to file a complaint for harassment. You can send a warning through a notary. But I recommend consulting a lawyer for accurate information.

Let me update you: I spoke with the neighbors, and they said there won't be any issues. It seems there haven't actually been any complaints by the landlord; it feels like they are just making it up. If I can resolve it with a warning, I'll do that; thank you for the information.
