I don't think your brother exaggerated much, but if you're embarrassed, I’d say talk to them a little.

Of course it would be funny, but did you, for instance, react to your brother? Did you say something like, 'Are you going to spill my other secrets too?' or anything? Or did you stay silent? Sometimes it's important to be clear from the start in situations like this.

But if they think it's really bothering you, you need to express that. Otherwise, it might just remain at the level of 'are we joking again' for everyone.
