I bought late-night snacks, but I regretted it

Last night, while coming home, I craved potato chips, so I bought a pack and finished it. Now I’m asking myself, ‘Why did I do that?’ I’m regretting eating at night, but this happens all the time. Do you think this is a problem? How can I cope with it?

Is one regretting a bag of chips?

Some nights, I’m obsessed with pancakes. By the time I get up in the morning, my stomach is a disaster, but it’s too late.

If you say this happens all the time, why are you still taking it? Is it a habit, or something else?

@yazipsildim yeah, that’s the moment I like, then regret. It usually happens after a boring workday.

@aklimkaldi what’s the deal with constantly eating chips under the excuse of a boring job? Come up with a solution.

Eating carbohydrate-rich snacks in the evening spikes insulin, disrupts sleep patterns, and increases feelings of hunger. Trying a higher-protein snack might lead to fewer regrets.

another night of junk food discussion. It’s always the same thing in the forum, no solution. But someone will eventually say ‘don’t eat’ anyway :woman_shrugging:

Maybe you’ve set up a reward system rather than just feeling boredom. Do you turn into a “the day is done, I deserve a reward” mode when you get off work? Could you add a more enjoyable evening habit and skip the chips?
