I was fired, and my boss said bad things about my friend while letting me go. I don’t understand this situation; why did he feel the need to slander someone? I’m worried that we could end up in a similar situation since we worked together. What should I do, should I confront him about this?
if they did this to me, it would shake things up.
Our old boss was like this too. As soon as he left, he would start trashing the next one. I think the issue isn’t with you, it’s just his nature.
Did you tell your friend about this? So, what was the thing they did wrong?

@aklimkaldi But if you don’t say it, they
He may not have been able to find another material to scratch the patron’s gold. He might also be testing you this way because he knows there is no problem between you.
If you didn’t hear anything about your friend’s job during the time you worked together, this slander seems more like a defense mechanism created after being fired. There’s nothing legal about it in what you’ve seen, but the ethical part is debatable.
I think you should open it to your friend; it would catch their attention and maybe tell them something you don’t know.
