My menstrual dates have been changing for about 3 months. Sometimes they are delayed by 15 days, and sometimes I have all the symptoms but I’m not getting my period. I can never share this situation with my family, and even bringing up the idea of going to a gynecologist is difficult. Are there things you’ve tried at home, or do these kinds of irregularities fix themselves over time? I want to postpone going to the doctor somehow, but I’m not sure if that’s the right thing to do.

5I don’t think this kind of delay is normal. I was feeling fidgety too, but my period wasn’t starting; it turned out to be PCOS. I don’t want to scare you, but I think you can’t solve it without seeing a doctor. It might be something hormonal, but you need tests to be sure.
You said if you tell Ailene, things will get messy, but why would things get messy? They will be upset because they care about you; after all, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. I mean, it’s health after all, no one should think such things don’t happen before a wedding ![]()
If there has been irregularity for 3 months, the underlying cause may be important. It could be due to stress, your eating habits, or another hormonal condition. If what you’ve tried at home hasn’t worked, you should see a gynecologist because medication adjustments may be necessary. Plus, you won’t have to stress so much.
I was thinking during the day, and I guess I will tell my mom. Because I saw on the internet they say PCOS, and somewhere else it says ‘it could be early menopause.’ My mind is all mixed up. Plus, I have been really stressed lately; could that be affecting it?
I couldn’t tell my mom in that situation; my friend consulted her sister for me. She had referred me to a special doctor. You don’t have to tell your family for sure, but I think you should find a way to see a doctor. It really shouldn’t be neglected.
