My brother squeezed my blackheads, and my face turned red.

My brother is very curious about my skincare, he constantly gives me suggestions. Yesterday he insisted he would clean my blackheads. He convinced me so much that I said okay, he squeezed them and all, but then my face turned bright red. Bumps also appeared, I’m really regretting it. What should I do now? Will it go away without putting anything on?

Is the skin able to breathe when it gets tight like this? I’m hearing this for the first time. But the more pressure you apply on your face, the more damage it will ultimately cause. Instead of irritating your skin just to make the blackheads disappear, establish a regular skincare routine. By the way, I never pop them at home, there’s no interference outside of professional treatment.

How long have these reddenings been present? I mean, did they decrease after you woke up in the morning, or are they still the same?

@sorgulayan I woke up this morning and it was still the same, in fact, it seems a bit more swollen. I’m already regretting having done it.

@gizemci_estetik It looks like the results improve when I squeeze the blackheads, but then they

Honestly, if you’re experiencing redness and swelling on your face after this type of squeezing, you need to apply an antibacterial cream. There are simple ointments available at the pharmacy that the pharmacist will recommend. Also, make sure not to scratch it, as it can worsen your skin.

Ah, my dear, things done in the name of “helping with good intentions” always turn out like this. Your face turns bright red, you get frustrated, but it’s too late. There have been times when people tried to “fix” my skin, but I realized that leaving it alone is healthier.

@skeptik_hesapci Well, if we don’t intervene with this “it’s filling up again” mentality, the problem will just get worse. Skin care is a personal thing; if you don’t take care of it regularly, the results won’t be permanent. But is squeezing a must? Focus on finding a solution

Sure, someone needs to get your consent before touching your skin. Giving permission by saying ‘go ahead and try’ could put you in a difficult situation later. Especially when it comes to a sensitive area like your face, it requires experience to intervene. Don’t hesitate to say ‘no’ again in a similar situation.
