I’ve been feeling a slight pain for a week, but it seems to have increased a bit today. I’m right in the middle of my pregnancy, and I’m hesitant to go to the doctor. I’m afraid it might be something serious, but I don’t want to panic and ruin my mood for nothing. Are these things normal, or should I not take any risks? I’m stuck in the middle.

9It’s common to have mild cramps during pregnancy, but if it’s been going on for a week, it’s a bit concerning. I had a similar experience with my second child, and when I went to the doctor, they found a risk of premature birth. I advise you not to neglect it.
Honestly, I don’t understand this hesitation about going to the doctor. It’s health we’re talking about, what’s there to be ashamed of? If something’s going on, isn’t early intervention better? I think you’re making a big deal out of something simple.
Does the pain occur while moving or is it constant? Have you ever taken any pain relievers?
@zeynep34 not all the time, more like towards the end of the day. I haven’t taken any painkillers, and I’m not sure if it would be harmful if I did.
Pain during pregnancy is normal, but if it’s a constant discomfort, the causes can vary. As the uterus grows, ligaments may stretch, which can cause pain, but in some cases, there may also be causes like infections. You should definitely consult your doctor before taking any painkillers. I recommend seeing an obstetrician without delay.
@dr_dogru you’re saying it’s all good, but these doctors sometimes ask for unnecessary tests and such. Let’s not scare the poor woman for no reason. Is pregnancy pain-free? This much panic isn’t good either.
I would go to the doctor even for mild pains while I was pregnant. Sometimes it turned out to be something very simple, but it would ease my mind. Once you have a child, you look at everything with suspicion, so I think you should go right away.
@gizemli_kalp okay, people should definitely go to the doctor, but maybe the woman had a bad experience before; we don’t know. Why are you speaking so judgmentally when you could offer support?
I think the duration and intensity of the pain are important. If it increases by the end of the day, you might be overexerting yourself during the day. If resting doesn’t ease it, at least consult your doctor over the phone. It will give you peace of mind.
