A neighbor of mine is spreading rumors that disturb my peace at home. They even involve my family. When I heard they were saying something false about me, I got really angry. How can I get through this? I have lost my peace.
Where did you hear this gossip? Have they described you directly or are they speaking "indirectly"?
We have a lot of stuff like this in our apartment too. The other day, someone made up a ridiculous story that no one was leaving the house for me, definitely spying on people through the window. It's impossible to live without getting into neighbors' business 🙄
You might get angry because I introduced you incorrectly, but I think you've become a bit upset too quickly. Is it certain that the neighbor is gossiping? Sometimes words get distorted when they go from one mouth to another 🙄

it's been very frustrating. but act based on solid information before confronting directly. such situations can even be taken to court, and if you don't have evidence, it becomes more difficult to defend yourself.

try talking, if that doesn't work, put a big one in between. it's true that peace doesn't remain as you say, but directly fighting backfires too.
You can't get the real sense of these things just by hearsay from afar. You won't understand true intentions without confronting the neighbor. Maybe while you're throwing some shade at someone, you've gotten burned yourself; it needs to be clarified.
What was the neighbor's attitude towards other people in the past? Did they do similar things to them as well? If it's not just a situation directed at you, it might be a general tendency of theirs. In that case, it wouldn't be something specific to you, but rather a different character issue.
