I just found out that my fiancé has a credit debt.

My fiancé and I have been preparing for our wedding for 6 months. The other day, an issue with a payment came up, and I learned that he had a loan debt that he never told me about. The debt amount isn't very large, but I'm really surprised that he kept it from me. If I ask him about it, I'll come off as cold, but if I don't ask, it'll eat me up inside. What do you think I should do?

I think this is about honesty. You've said it's not a big debt, but keeping it hidden is problematic. If you don't talk about it, you'll just let it grow in your mind 🤷‍♀️

I don't think it's very cold, just go ahead and ask without dragging the conversation.

@yazmasamusait yeah, but maybe he really thought it was an insignificant thing. Isn’t it a bit harsh to jump straight to honesty?

something similar happened to me, not with a fiancé but my girlfriend had hidden her credit card debt. I was in shock when I found out, but she said she felt ashamed about it too. it's a weird situation, you should still stand up for yourself 😬

I think the topic is a bit exaggerated. I don't understand why we got so worked up over a small credit debt. 🙄

I have a question, is this a situation with delayed payments or is it paying regularly? I think it matters.

@seyirmelerim has been paying regularly, it's not something very old 😂

@aklimkaldi then you might be right in what you said. They might have just forgotten. It's not worth creating a big crisis over this 🫢

@uykuyokmus it's like you forgot, but the one asking clearly implied that you're hiding something. If things like this are hidden in engagement, what will happen in marriage? 🤦‍♀️
