I went to the hairdresser today, and when I sat down to get my hair cut, my boss was waiting right next to me. To be honest, I felt a bit uncomfortable or found the situation slightly amusing. Do you think being at the hairdresser with the boss creates any issues? Or is it really not a big deal?
come on, that's really weird.
the same thing happened to me, my boss had stalked me at a café in the mall. the next day in the office, he asked, 'did you like your coffee' and so on.
Is the patron a man or a woman? I think that changes the situation a bit 😅
@yazipsildim male, but I'm not sure if the strangeness of the situation is related to gender.
But didn't you give a bit of a strange reaction too? Did the guy strike artistic poses while cutting your hair? Could it be that you blew it out of proportion just because he was next to you?
It's a ridiculous situation but don't jump to conclusions about bad intentions. There are many bosses who act strangely when they see you outside of work. If necessary, you can say, "Don’t get me wrong, but I felt uncomfortable" 🙄
@pazardandondum if you find this reaction silly, then why are you on the forum? Not everyone has to feel the same.
Can you act naturally while you're next to your boss? Maybe the discomfort there is entirely something internal for you. I mean, if the guy isn't following you, his coming to the hairdresser could be purely a coincidence. But if it feels like he's constantly invading your personal space, then that's a problem.
Maybe he isn't following directly, but the mall, hairdresser, and so on, always coinciding with his comfort is a bit... Especially if he made a striking comment, I can't be sure if it's completely coincidental. Why not ask if things like this happen often?
I think you should consider whether there's a way to measure coincidences. Where have you encountered each other outside of work before? Is it normal to meet at such a specific moment? So just saying "I was uncomfortable" might not be enough; the main issue is understanding whether they are doing this consciously.
