Is Patronum constantly throwing shade or am I overreacting?

I've been feeling like my relationship with my boss at work has been tense lately. He's constantly making insinuating comments, and sometimes his decisions make me feel dismissed. On one hand, I'm thinking, 'things like this happen,' but on the other hand, I'm telling myself, 'I shouldn't let this slide.' How do you think I should react? Or am I just being too sensitive?

I don't think you're very sensitive. I've been through the same, my former boss would always start with 'Of course, don't take it personally, but...' before he would spill his words. I think you should try to speak openly; the more I stayed silent, the more daring he became.

One of my friend's bosses was like that too, always implying things instead of saying them outright. The girl said, 'I can't deal with this' and quit the job. But later, she experienced the stress of being unemployed; I think before you consider quitting, look for ways to endure.

I mean, everything you think is the boss ignoring you might not be personal. Maybe there's a situation where a decision needs to be made at that moment without you asking. I think you should focus on why you feel this way first and then don't blow it out of proportion. 🫢

The fact that your boss says 'you're personalizing it' is actually significant. From a psychological perspective, organizational conflicts often arise from misunderstandings between the two parties. In such cases, finding solutions through communication tends to be more lasting, and if necessary, speaking with a professional can be considered.

Let me add something, actually there's something I've noticed from the beginning but haven't said: These insinuating comments usually happen in front of the team. It's as if you're trying to undermine me in front of everyone. It's even more disturbing now.

But in a team-oriented environment, the boss inevitably shows their authority from time to time. What do you expect? It's not like they will always agree and be nice. They talked about peer pressure above, but I think this is normal in the workplace. 😐
